The Exception to the Rule
Proverbs 4:23 says, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
This isn’t just scripture for me—it’s a blueprint for how I live, lead, and love.
As someone who’s often been labeled the “least likely”—a divergent thinker, a dyslexic creative, a so-called black sheep—I've come to embrace that labels don’t define me. I do. And God does. The truth is, what many called a limitation was really preparation. What some saw as delay was really divine design.
It’s A Heart Thang isn’t just a brand. It’s my legacy in motion. It’s the soil where my roots grow deep, and my well-doings spring forth—not for applause, but for alignment.
And while the world tells us to "get it all together behind closed doors,” I believe in being transparent with the process. That’s where the real healing starts. Behind the door of your heart, where the soil of your myind meets divine truth—that’s where transformation begins.
You don’t have to be the exception to their rule. You are the author of your own. It’s time to be mindful of your well-doings, not just for how the world sees you—but for how you see yourself.
What story are you writing with your life?
Be the proof that a life surrendered to healing, intention, and faith can change not only your world—but the world around you.
Because in the end, it’s always been a Heart Thang.
